To provide a glazing and decorating method for ceramic wares or the like, in which both glazing and transfer decorating can be performed by once of firing at application of the glazing and transfer decorating to a biscuit- fired matter.

In the glazing and decorating method, firstly, under the state that an unburned layer 2 is formed by coating a milky slip glaze composition on the surface of the biscuit-fired matter 1, a transfer decorating sheet 30 laminated through a water wetting glue layer 32 on a mounting layer 300 is pasted onto the unburned layer 2 after being separated from the mounting paper under being wetted with water. After that, the unburned layer 2 is burned and, at the same time, the transfer decorating sheet 30 is baked. Further, a water- dispersible resin is added to the milky slip glaze composition.
