Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gloss control device capable of controlling desired glossiness even if a distance from a recording head to an output surface changes when a glossy layer is formed on a surface of an uneven geometry.SOLUTION: A gloss control device derives a gloss formation pattern on the basis of shape information for specifying the shape of an uneven geometry and gloss information for specifying the glossiness of the gloss. Gloss formation pattern derivation means controls gloss to be formed on the surface of the uneven geometry by determining an area ratio which represents a rate of striking ink dots by a gloss formation device per unit area and an overlapping number which is the number of times the gloss formation device strikes ink dots aiming at the same position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
