To provide a glove box locking device allowing a key cylinder to be easily mounted on the device main body after it is assembled to a vehicle.
This glove box locking device is provided with a lock part engaged and disengaged with and from a striker on the car body side disposed in an opening and closing body of the glove box, a slide link displaced by locking and unlocking of the key cylinder 47, and a handle connected to the slide link. According to the displacement position of the slide link, the handle and the lock part are switched between the linking state or the non-linking state. In the glove box locking device, the key cylinder 47 is formed by a key cylinder main body part 54 locked and unlocked by the key operation, and a joint part 48 incorporated in a device main body plate 52 to journal the slide link, the key cylinder main body part 54 is mounted on the joint part 48 from the front of the device main body plate 52 to be connected in the projecting and recessed state, and the key cylinder main body part 54 is fitted and fixed by a snap ring 49.
