Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of a temperature characteristic on a surface of a cylindrical body, in a glow plug.SOLUTION: A glow plug comprises a cylindrical body, a power generation coil and a control coil. A relationship between a rush current A1 in the case that a 11-V voltage is applied to the glow plug for two seconds, and a current A2 at a time point at which two seconds elapse after the start of the application of the 11-V voltage satisfies 1.0≤A1/A2≤1.2, and in the case that a voltage E at which a temperature measured by using an R-thermo couple arranged in a position separated from a tip of a surface at the outside of the cylindrical body by 2 mm reaches 1,000°C for 100 seconds from two seconds after the start of the application is continued to be applied to the glow plug, a temperature B measured by using the R-thermo couple at a time point at which 100 minutes have elapsed after the start of the application of the voltage E satisfies 0(°C)≤1000(°C)-B(°C)≤30(°C).
