Title:
GLUCOSE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01140054
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a large sensor output even when the concentration of a sample is low, by promoting the hydrolysis of D-glucono-δ- lactone.

CONSTITUTION: The hydrolysis of D-glucono-γ-lactone is promoted by making gluconolactonase be contained in a gel containing GOD. The speed of disappearance in the gel of the glucose which is consumed in a glucose oxidation reaction by a GOD catalyst is made to be equal substantially to the speed of production of a gluconic acid which is the product of the hydrolysis of the D-glucono-γ- lactone, so as to improve an output of a pH-detecting type glucose sensor.
