Abstract:

To provide a glycolchitosan derivative by which a nano-size self-aggregate can be formed, wherein the glycolchitosan derivative has temperature-sensitivity and biodegradability and is suitable for use in a drug carrier; and to provide a method of producing the derivative.

The glycolchitosan derivative is produced by acetylation reaction of glycolchitosan with an acetylating agent.
