Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compound that is produced by aerobically fermenting Kibdeolosporangium philippinensis NRRL 18198 or NRRL 18199 in a culture medium containing assimilable carbon, nitrogen and inorganic salt sources.
USE: A therapeutic agent for bacterial infection diseases, premix for animal feed.
PREPARATION: Kibdeolosporangium philippinensis NRRL 18198 or NRRL 18199, or their mutant that can produce antibiotic A80407 is aerobically cultured in a liquid culture medium containing assimilable carbon, nitrogen and inorganic salt sources and the product is isolated from the fermentation medium to prepare the objective glycoprotein.
