Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [X and Y are H or together form an oxo group; A1 is H, methylene or carbonyl; A2 is H, CN, carbamoyl, carboxy or alkoxycarbonyl; m and n are integer; R1 is -COOR2 (R2 is alkyl, phenyl, etc.), group of formula II or formula III (A3 is S, O or NH; l is integer)] and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 3β-(Carboxymethoxy)-18β-olean-12-en-30-oic acid.
USE: An antiulcer agent.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by activating a compound of formula IV e.g. by the treatment with a halogenation agent, successively reacting with a compound of formula R2-OH, a compound of formula V, etc., and, if necessary, subjecting the product to hydrolysis, etc.
