Title:
'GO' GAME TERMINAL UNIT, AND 'GO' GAME PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002292126
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To automatically judge whether a stone is a live stone or a dead stone without requiring the instruction from a user, increase the accuracy of a game end judgement process, reduce errors, and at the same time, facilitate the operation to improve the usability.

This game terminal unit performs the game end judgement process for the situation of 'go' game which is expressed by the record of the game of 'go' (situation) data. The game terminal unit judges stones of the same color being connected in the situation as a group by a group judging process (a step A1). Then, by a territory detecting process, a territory belonging to each group which is judged by the group judging process is detected (a step A2). By a group dead/live judging process, whether each group judged by the group judging process is live or not is judged in response to whether a territory of a size of a specified value or higher, or a territory being divided into two or more is detected or not by the territory detecting process (a step A3). Then, the game end judgement process is performed based on the result of the group dead/live judgement process.
