Title:
GOLF BALL CASE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000219234
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To give high sense appearances with a metal color using no metal foil, and reduce the residue of metal or the like, and also improve an incineration waste disposal and case making properties by the use of paper base material having a thin metallic deposition layer on a part or entire part in the surface of a case.

A case or lid body for golf balls is made by forming a metalized thin deposition layer 13 via an adhesive layer 12 on the surface of paper base material 11, and a printing portion 14 is formed thereon having characters, patterns, and the like. At this time, the metalized thin deposition layer 13 is preferable to be formed by a transfer method. Also, if the surface of the transfer film is subjected to hairline work, a metalized thin deposition layer surface is obtained in accordance with this. Then, after printing characters, patterns, and the like on the surface of the paper base material 11 having the metalized thin layer 13 formed on the surface, by carrying out case making operation, a golf ball case is manufactured. In this way, a golf ball case can be obtained with high sense appearances without the use of metal foil that can relatively add to thickness.
