Abstract:
To provide a golf ball having a matte appearance by a coating layer containing a matting agent and exerting an excellent spin performance on approach shots.SOLUTION: A golf ball includes a core, a cover 10 located outside the core and having a plurality of dimples 12, and a coating film layer 20 located outside the cover. The coating film layer contains a matting agent, where an average roughness Ra of a surface of the coating film layer is 0.35 or more, and a coefficient of static friction of a surface of the golf ball is 0.20 or more. A manufacturing method of the golf ball includes a step of forming a coating film layer by a coating composition containing a polyurethane coating, a matting agent and a solvent with a boiling point of 130°C or more, on a surface of the cover with the plurality of dimples.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
