Abstract:
To provide a golf ball manufactured from the polymer composition containing a halogenated organosulfur compound.
This golf ball is formed of a core and a cover, and the core has a diameter, at least, at about 3.81 cm (1.50 inch) and contains the polybutadiene rubber composition containing at least about 2.2 parts of the halogenated organosulfur compound per 100 parts thereof, and the cover has a thickness smaller than about 0.254 cm (0.1 inch) and contains a polyurethane composition. A coefficient of restore is increased and the compression is reduced, or the both are generated at the same time in the golf ball core by adding the halogenated organosulfur compound or the salt thereof to the polybutabiene rubber composition.
