SOLUTION: There are provided a golf ball that includes at least one porous resin layer formed of a resin composition containing a polymeric material and a leachable water-soluble polymer, and a manufacturing method of a golf ball in which the resin composition containing the polymeric material and the water-soluble polymer is molded to obtain a solid molded body, and the water-soluble polymer is partially leached out and removed.EFFECT: According to a golf ball and a manufacturing method thereof in the invention, the golf ball which has an improved ball operability (controllability) on approach shots and improved feel at impact, maintains a good scuff resistance, and has a good molding property can be manufactured.SELECTED DRAWING: None
