To provide a golf ball manufacturing method suppressing generation of bare in molding a spherical body.
The golf ball manufacturing method includes a charging process for charging a rubber composition into an extruder 1, and a preforming process for extruding the rubber composition by the extruder to obtain a preform. Further, the manufacturing method includes a molding process for pressurizing the preform by a mold including a spherical cavity to obtain a ball body. In the charging process, the rubber composition has a surface temperature Ts of ≥30°C and ≤70°C and a central temperature of ≥50°C and ≤90°C, and the difference therebetween (Tc-Ts) is ≥20°C and ≤40°C. The temperatures are controlled by cooling the rubber composition at the charging process to the extruder 1 in the process of storing the rubber composition. Thus, the uniform spherical body without bare is readily manufactured by the golf ball manufacturing method.
