Abstract:

To provide a golf ball excellent in aerodynamic symmetry and carry.

A data constellation related to parameters dependent on the shapes of a surface are computed on the basis of the shapes of the surface appearing momentarily in prescribed locations by the spinning of a golf ball having many dimples on the surface. Preferable parameters are distances between the axis of spinning and the surface of the golf ball. Preferable another parameter is a volumetric capacity of the space between the surface of a virtual ball and the surface of the golf ball. On the basis of the maximum value and the minimum value of the data group, a fluctuation range is computed. The division of the fluctuation range by the total volumetric capacity of the dimples results in the value of evaluation. The value of evaluation is computed for PH spins and POP spins, respectively.
