Abstract:
To improve the distance of a golf ball by substantially increasing the number of dimples without affecting the external form of the golf ball.
A projection material consisting of a thermosetting resin is sprayed to the surface of a solid core 10C of the golf ball 10 formed with the many dimples 11, by which the surface is subjected to blasting treatment. A resin coating film layer 13 constituting the cover of the golf ball 10 is then formed thereon, thereby, the microdimples 12 of 1 μm to 2 mm in diameter and 0.5 μm to 1 mm in depth are formed over the entire surface of the golf ball 10.
