Abstract:
To provide a golf ball capable of improving a carry in a sure manner with a configuration in which bottom surfaces of dimples are curved convexly toward an outside direction of the golf ball.SOLUTION: A golf ball of the present invention includes a core and a cover positioned outside the core having a plurality of dimples 10 on a surface. A bottom surface 14 of the dimple has a shape curved convexly toward an outside direction of the golf ball. The convex part 15 has a spherical crown shape with a curvature radius R of 20-50 mm. A depth d in a central convex part of the bottom surface of the dimple is a vertical distance to the highest point of the convex part with a line S connecting both ends 12 of an outer peripheral edge of the dimple as a reference. A volume occupancy ratio VR of the dimples is less than 0.75. Relationships between Shore D hardness H of a cover material and the depth d (unit: mm) satisfy a following formula 1: (H-78)/(-300)>d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
