The golf cart having the brake releasing mode for enabling it to be pushed or pulled by hands comprises an announcing means (a speaker 38) for announcing the brake releasing mode by sound when it is selected and a control means (a microcomputer 100) for varying the sound output from the announcing means in accordance with the vehicle state (traveling speed) when the brake releasing mode is selected. In addition, the cart further comprises a timer for counting time having passed after the brake releasing mode was selected and a control means (a microcomputer 100) for stopping the vehicle to terminate the brake releasing mode after a predetermined period of time has passed after the brake releasing mode was selected.
