Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To most adequately classify plural pieces of golf clubs consisting of the same shaft number to the characteristics of golfers' swing types. SOLUTION: The flexibility of the golf club shafts S1, S2 in the golf club group G consisting of the golf clubs G1, G2 of the same shaft number is made approximately the same. The shaft bending rigidity distribution curves when the respective straight layers of the respective golf club shafts S1, S2 are assumed to be composed of the same thickness over the entire length L of the shafts are determined as reference curves. The golf club shafts of which the shaft bending rigidity distribution curves of the butt side parts B1 nearer the butt end B side than a position Q of 300 mm from the butt ends B with respect to the tangent drawn on the respective reference curves at this position Q exist in the region below the tangent are classified as the shafts for swingers and the shafts of which the curves described above exist in the region higher than the tangent are classified as the shafts for hitters.
