Abstract:
To provide a golf club head that is strong and can extend the distance of a ball and a method of manufacturing such golf club head.
At least a part of a golf club head is molded by a hot press, by using a plate manufacture of an alloy having a supercooled liquid region and a composition that generates an amorphous phase as a material. Molding is performed in a temperature range of a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -100 K or higher, crystallization start temperature (Tx) of -30 K or lower, and a rate of strain of 10/s or less. The molding is composed of a metallographic structure, at least 50% of which is in the amorphous phase.
