Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an efficient forging method for golf club head which is designed so that the sole of the bottom face of a dent part is under-cut.
CONSTITUTION: A face 2 and the face 2 side of a sole 4 are formed using a movable mold 11. A nest member 17 is detachably provided at a fixed mold 12, a dent part 6 is formed on a rear 3 side using the nest member 17. The rear side of a head body 1 and the rear side of the sole 4 are formed using the fixed mold 12. This allows the dent part 6 and the head body 1 to be formed at a time by forging without cutting the dent part 6. As the product can easily be removed from the mold, the production rate is significantly increased.
