To provide a joint of high mechanical strength by using materials having different melting points by a method wherein a titanium alloy is welded to the shooting face of a golf club made of an aluminum alloy to eliminate the looseness at the joint, deterioration, injury, corrosion, penetration of foreign matters, etc., to stabilize the joint.
An impression as large as a titanium alloy plate 2 is formed in the face of a golf club head body 1 made of an aluminum alloy. An aluminum coating is formed on the side surfaces of the plate 2, which plate 2 is inserted into the impression of the head body 1. Further, the head body 1 is joined to the plate 2 through an aluminum solder 3. The soldered portion of the joint is finished flat using excessive solder material to provide a good appearance. Thus, the looseness of the joint, deterioration, injury, corrosion, and penetration of foreign matters can be avoided even for extended use, thereby stabilizing the joint. The mechanical strength of the joint can be increased by using material having different melting points.
