PURPOSE: To provide a golf club shaft which is provided with a reinforcing layer and is made adjustable in a kick point without generating a difference in level by basically using a filament winding method and a process for producing this shaft.

CONSTITUTION: A fiber layer 2 formed by the filament winding method is provided thereon with a reinforcing layer 3 by partially inserting previously formed braidings into this fiber layer. The rigidity of the shaft is partially improved in such a manner, by which the kick point over the entire part of the shaft is changed. The generation of the difference in level is obviated by forming the reinforcing layer.
