PURPOSE: To provide a dummy golf club even having a short rod, with which an actual golf club length can be confirmed upon use.
CONSTITUTION: A golf club 1 has a shaft part 2 fixed at its lower end with a light emitting part 4. A grip part 3 is fitted on the shaft part 2. Illumination boxes 17, 18 are fixed to the light emitting part 4 so as to be rotatable about pinions 29, 20, A drive pinion 16 is provided on an extension of the center axis C of the shaft part 2. The rotation of the pinion 26 is transmitted through racks 31, 32 to the pinions 29, 30. Light beams from the illumination boxes 17, 18 cross together on the center axis X. The crossing point position and distance between the light emitting part 4 and the light beams very, dependent upon rotational angles of the illumination boxes 17, 18. The user grips the grip part 3 while directs the light emitting part 4 downward so as to adjust the crossing point of the light beams on a light receiving surface such as a floor surface so as to form a light ring, thereby the distance between the grip part 3 and the light ring coincides with the actual length of the golf club.
