Bending force and shearing force are concentrated around the upper end of a hosel part during a play to make the club shaft be faced to extremely strict situation. To cope with a weak point around the uppermost part of a shaft 20 of such a club shaft, a layer made of high intensity PBO fiber (and another reinforcing layer) is equipped on an attaching part between the head and the shaft. That is, an attaching part of a shaft 20 to the head is formed of plural partition layers 1-3 formed by more than one ply. A second partition layer 2 is made a biassed layer and a third partition layer 3 using a carbon fiber layer a straight layer.
