To provide compositions and methods for administering a GnRH antagonist that reduces menstrual blood loss to a patient, such as a mammalian patient (e.g., human).SOLUTION: Provided is a method comprising administering to a human patient thieno[3,4d]pyrimidine derivatives, such as 3-[2-fluoro-5-(2,3-difluoro-6-methoxybenzyloxy)-4-methoxyphenyl]-2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrothieno[3,4d] pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid, and a choline salt thereof in an amount of about 100 mg/day.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
