Abstract:
An article storage facility comprising an article storage shelf including a plurality of storage sections arranged in a vertical direction and parallel to a width direction of the shelf, a stacker crane (5) for conveying an article between the storage sections and an article carrying-in/carrying-out portion, and a controller for controlling the operation of the stacker crane (5), wherein the stacker crane (5) includes an article transfer device (14) movable relative to a lift (13) in the width direction of the shelf between a first position adjacent to a first support column (12a) and a second position adjacent to a second support column (12a).
