1531986 Goggles H MARKER 13 Jan 1977 [2 Feb 1976 ] 01346/77 Heading G2J A pair of goggles comprises a pair of eyecup connected by a bridge for the nose and a restraining strap for the head, the rims of the goggles adjacent the face being formed of a flexible tube (or tubes) filled with a material which was caused to solidify while the goggles were conformed to the shape of a wearers face. The filling mixture is preferably a two component plastics open cell or closed cell foam. It may be injected into the tubes by means of a hypodermic syringe or from a flexible container. The tubes thus filled may be fitted with inlet and outlet valves, or may be fitted with an inlet valve and evacuated, or may be evacuated and pierced by the injector. The nose bridge may likewise be filled with material which has rigidified while it was conforming to the shape of the wearers nose.
