Abstract:
PURPOSE: To gouge various kinds of groove shapes by using a small-diameter wire by weaving a wire-shaped electrode in a torch part.
CONSTITUTION: The small-diameter wire is fed to a tip 14 attached to an attaching base 13 of the torch part 6. The base 13 is weaved as desired by the rotation of a roller 17 which is offcentered by an amplitude regulator 16 attached to the shaft of a weaving motor 15. The oscillating width, set electric current, wire feed speed, carriage traveling speed and weaving speed meeting the groove shape are selected by using such device. This method is made to deal with various forms of operations by using the small-diameter wire without replacing the electrode rod.
