To satisfactorily secure convergence of rotation fluctuation in a governor device of a fuel injection pump in which at least a part of a governor lever is made of elastic body for suppressing into a small value of speed fluctuation ratio of the governor.
A governor lever 21 is composed of a front 24, a base end 23 connected to a lever shaft 22, and an elastic body 25 connecting the front 24 to the base end 23. A frictional member 35, that is a plate spring is arranged between the base end 23 and the front 24 of the governor lever 25 as a damper means for attenuating oscillation of the elastic body 25. The frictional member 35 is fixed to one of the base end 23 and the front 24, and press-contact with the other. The elastic body 25 is composed of a plate spring elastically deformable in speed increasing/decreasing directions of the governor lever 21.
