To provide a governor device capable of easily adjusting positions of major components of a governor device.

In the governor device for the internal combustion engine comprising; a governor lever provided with a lever abutting on a tip of a governor slider, converting movement of the governor slider to rotation, transmitting the same to an outside of a crank case via a governor shaft; a link lever fixed on a crank case outside shaft end of the governor shaft; a governor rod connecting the tip of the link lever and a throttle lever of a carburetor; and a governor spring energized and provided between appropriate sections of the link lever and the crank case, a means enabling axial direction adjustment of the position of a governor gear shaft is provided.
