Abstract:
To provide a governor device avoiding the transmission of sudden motion of a weight to a measuring valve.
A governor device for an internal combustion engine is disclosed, and this governor device is formed of a rotatable shaft 2 and a plurality of weights 1 rotatable and pivotally movable in relation to the shaft 2. The weights 1 can be successively engaged with a washer 9 engaged with a sleeve 3. The sleeve 3 is engaged with a lever used to control the setting of a measuring valve by its position. A hydrodynamic bearing device is provided between the sleeve 3 and the washer 9. A driving device is provided to drive the washer 9 when the rotating speed of the shaft 2 is insufficient for the weights 1 to move the sleeve 3.
