To dissolve a problem wherein a governor mechanism, suppressing the coefficient of speed fluctuation to a low value according to an engine load, is formed in complicated constitution due to arrangement of a shift mechanism, whereby the governor mechanism has a problem, such as the increase of a production cost, and maintenance being also uneasy to make.
A number of revolutions of engine detecting mechanism 8 to detect the number of revolutions of an engine 1, and an expansion member 9 worked on a governor arm 4 against the tension FS of a governor spring 5 are added to a conventional governor mechanism for an engine. Based on a detecting result from the number of revolutions of engine detecting mechanism 8, an expansion member 9 limits oscillation of the governor arm 4 and the coefficient of a speed fluctuation is suppressed through movement of a balancing position between the tension SF of the governor spring 5 and a governor force GF.
