PURPOSE: To increase the effect of thermochromism and permit the realizing of three- dimensional feeling, spread of color, dynamic feeling and the like effectively by a method wherein the thinnest part is formed so as to have a visual density at least about half of the same of the thickest part while thick and thin gradation coloring layers are formed continuously or discontinuously to the thickest part.
CONSTITUTION: A printed matter is constituted of a thermochromism layer 3, having the thickness of 5μm-400μm and containing a thermochromism pigment, consisting of a homogeneous compatible body of an electronic donner color developing organic compound, an electronic acceptor compound and a color changing temperature regulating agent, and a binder, while formed on a supporting body 2. The thermochromism pigment is provided with the grain size of 0.1μm-20μm and occupies 5-85wt.% of the thermochromism layer 3 while fixed by the binder under a dispersed condition. The thermochromism layer 3 is arranged so that the density upon developing color becomes continuous or discontinuous from the thick part to the thin part in the gradation of colors. On the other hand, the thermochromism layer 3 is formed of a color memorizing thermochromism material, whose color is changed by the change of temperature while showing a high hysteresis characteristic, while a non-color changing layer 4 is arranged thereon.
