PURPOSE: To obtain a gradual released chemical agent sheet material, by containing a highly water-absorbent resin, which is formed by applying a monomer composition based on a mixture of acrylic acid and acrylate to a flexible sheet to polymerize the same, and a chemical agent selected from an aromatic agent, a deodorant and a disinfectant.
CONSTITUTION: A highly water-absorbent resin is formed by applying a monomer composition based on a mixture of acrylic acid and acrylate in a mol. ratio of 75:25W2:98 to a base sheet 1 and irradiating said composition with electron beam in this state to polymerize and cure the same. As the flexible sheet to be used, any one of a fiber aggregate such as fabric, knitted fabric, nonwoven fabric or paper, a plastic film or sheet and a rubber sheet can be pref. used. A gradual released chemical agent sheet is composed of the highly water- absorbent resin and the flexible sheet having said resin fixed thereto and chemical agents such as an aromatic agent, a deodorant and a disinfectant are contained in the highly water-absorbent resin and/or the flexible sheet.
