Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition useful as an electric insulating layer for an organic dispersion type electroluminescent element and a binder for a luminous layer, having high dielectric properties and moisture absorption resistance, comprising a graft polymer prepared by subjecting a fluorine- containing polymer to graft polymerization.
CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises a graft polymer obtained by subjecting (A) a fluorine-containing polymer [e.g. a polyvinylidene fluoride or a rubber-like copolymer comprising vinylidene fluoride and another fluorine- containing monomer (e.g. hexafluoropropylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene or tetrafluoroethylene) having 50-85mol% vinylidene fluoride content] and (B) a monomer of the formula {R1 is H or CH3; R2 is a (branched) alkylene containing [O, a (hydrogenated) phenylene, etc.]; (m) is 1-3; 1≤m≤n-1} to graft polymerization. The amount of the component B is preferably 10-90wt.% based on the total amount of the component A and the component B.
