To improve difficulties with the prior art wherein drying work efficiency is deteriorated because grain temperature in a storage chamber is lowered although the grain is exposed to hot air in a drying passage to raise grain temperature because the grain is exposed to the hot air whilst it passes through a drying passage, in a process where the grain is circulated between the storage chamber and the grain collection chamber through a longitudinal conveyance apparatus.
There are provided a storage chamber 2 for storing grains conveyed through an upper spiral, a drying passage for guiding grains flowing down from the storage chamber 2, a burner for supplying hot air to the drying passage, an exhaust fan for exhausting hot air to the outside, and a grain collection chamber 5 provided with a lower conveyance apparatus 4 for conveying grains laterally which is subjected to the drying action. There are further provided on a lateral side of the apparatus a longitudinal conveyance apparatus 6 which communicates a conveyance starting end to the lower conveyance apparatus 4 and communicates a conveyance final end to an upper conveyance spiral. As a result, part of hot air supplied to the drying passage 3 is fed into an upper portion of the storage chamber 2 through the grain collection chamber 5, the longitudinal conveyance apparatus 6, and the upper spiral.
