Abstract:
To provide a granular carrier that has both high water absorbency and biodegradability, and has a substantially spherical shape, a uniform particle size, and excellent strength and transparency, and also to provide particulate pharmaceutical compositions and absorbent articles containing the granular carrier, and in addition, to provide a method of easily producing the granular carrier.SOLUTION: Provided is granular carrier containing a crosslinked salt of carboxyalkyl cellulose having a viscosity in a 1-mass% aqueous solution at 25°C of 5 mPa s or more and 300 mPa s or less, which is dispersed in a reverse phase suspension.
