Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the surface accuracy from being worsened and melt sticking from occurring due to partial peeling and shorten the forming cycle by applying a compressive stress to a glass material in a forming mold and then moderating the compressive stress.
CONSTITUTION: A glass material 1 is charged onto a bottom force 3. After the glass 1 and the force 3 reach a specific temperature, a pressure is applied from a top force 2 apply a compressive stress until a flange part (2a) of the top force 2 is brought into contact with a body mold 5. A compressive stress is then applied from a lower rod 6 to the bottom force 3 and glass material 1 is subsequently cooled to a temperature at which the viscosity thereof reaches 109 to 1013dPa.s. The lower rod 6 is then lowered to relax the compressive stress at ≤3000kPa/sec pressure releasing rate. The top force 2 is subsequently lifted to peel the bottom force 3 and a lens 4 with a mold releasing plate 7.
