To provide a granular matter carrying mechanism excellent in carrying efficiency by minimizing a trouble such as powdering of a granular matter in a connection part between a horizontal carrying part and a vertical carrying part for transferring the granular matter, or clogging involved thereby.
The granular matter carrying mechanism 1 includes a substantially cylindrical horizontal carrying part 2 substantially horizontally pushing out and carrying a pellet-like or massy granular matter such as solid fuel, sediment, or grain by rotation of a carrying shaft 4 having a rotating blade 3 provided on a circumferential surface thereof, a vertical carrying part 5 having a lower end connected to the upper surface of the horizontal carrying part, and carrying the granular matter such as solid fuel while changing the direction from the horizontal direction to a vertically upward direction, and a reversely rotating blade 6 concentrically formed on a circumferential surface of the carrying shaft 4 on the downstream side from just under the lower end center of the vertical carrying part 5 in a reverse screw shape in opposition to the rotating blade 3.
