Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain granular potassium hexatitanate free from a problem caused by shape.
SOLUTION: This granular potassium hexatitanate has an aspect ratio of <10. The method for producing the granular potassium hexatitanate comprises mixing a titanium-containing compound with a potassium-containing compound and a boron-containing compound and subsequently calcining the mixture. Therein, the boron-containing compound is compounded in an amount of 5wt.% (converted into boron oxide) based on the amount of titanium dioxide produced from the titanium-containing compound.
