Abstract:

To embody a granulating die of which the cutting surface having a form of an annular segment is made opposite to abrasion-protective inserts at a rate as high as possible and which brings about easiness of assembly and satisfactory properties of protection against tearing off.

The granulating die for a pelletizer is constituted by having a base 36 provided with holes for passing a molten material through. The abrasion-protective inserts 25 and 26 are so provided as to be allotted to the above holes and have holes disposed straight to the holes in the base 36. The inserts 25 and 26 disposed adjacently to each other in a row 20 have chord- shaped surfaces 28, where at least one surface directed to the adjacent inserts 25 and 26 and being a columnar arch arc on the lateral side of the chord-shaped surfaces 28 is provided.
