Abstract:
PURPOSE: To granulate an azobisamidine salt into a salt, excellent in operating efficiency, granule strength and stability with time, hardly causing unfavorable effects due to sticking, etc., of dust and useful as a polymerization initiator for aqueous solution polymerization or emulsion polymerization by using water as a binder.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A compound of formula I {R1 and R2 are each a (cyclo)alkyl; R1 and R2 together may form an aliphatic group; G is a group of formula II [R3 and R4 are each H, a (substituted) alkyl, a cycloalkyl, allyl or a (substituted) phenyl] or a group of formula III [R5 is a (substituted) lower alkylene; R6 is H or a hydroxyalkyl]; X is Cl, Br or CH3COO} is granulated by using (B) water as a binder in. an amount of, e.g. 10-22wt.% based on the component (A) and, as necessary, (C) a water-soluble organic solvent in an amount of ≤1.5 times based on 1 component (B) in combination.
