PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advantageously produce, granules of substances taken in the body of animals from powder of the substances in industrial scale.
SOLUTION: This granulation of powdery substances taken in the body of animals to granules having average particle size of 100-1500μm comprises fluidizing at least a part of the powder by upward air flow through a gas distributor plate, spraying the thus formed fluidized powder layer with fine liquid particles of a spray liquid composed of an aqueous hemicellulose solution through a spray nozzle, and bonding powder particles with each other in the presence of and by the aid of fine liquid spray particles to form granules, in the conditions that the viscosity of the spray liquid is in the range of 3-100mPa.s, the fine liquid particle size of the spray liquid formed by spray from the spray nozzle is in the range of 10-200μm, and that the content of granules in the particle size range of 0.7M-1.3M (M is average size of granules) obtained by the granulation is 75wt.% or more.
