Abstract:
To provide a granulator capable of efficiently performing a granulation operation.SOLUTION: A roll facing granulator 200 characterized in that a roll 1 having a plurality of granulating holes of the same shape formed on its surface and a roll 2 having the same shape as the roll 1 are opposed to each other so as to be substantially in contact with each other with axial directions of two rolls in parallel, on a tangential line where two rolls come into substantial contact, positions of a plurality of granulation holes 11, 12 arranged on the respective surface are arranged so as to nearly match, each is rotated inward direction, the powder charged between two rolls is compressed to granulate into a shape of a space formed by combining granulation holes of two rolls, in which all the granulating holes are a circle of a radium d/2 or a polygon having a length from a center of gravity to a vertex of d/2, respectively, on the surface of the roll 1 and roll 2, arranged into a two dimensional lattice of the same shape with a distance R between lattices on the respective surface of the roll 1 and roll 2, the granular holes are formed densely such that a distance Δ between adjacent granular holes is (1/100) R<Δ<(1/10)R.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
