PURPOSE: To obtain a granulating method by which mass production of granules is enabled and a granular form is specified and the required size of granules is efficiently obtained by compressing and molding a powdery raw material by a compacting roll and orthogonally scanning laser beams in the advancing direction of the obtained platelike material to cut it and thereafter passing this cut material between a pair of crushing rolls.
CONSTITUTION: Pressure is exerted to a raw material 2 by a pair of press rolls 4, 4' and the raw material is molded into a platelike material 5 having required thickness. Thereafter a laser beam-cutter 7 is allowed to coincide with the speed of the platelike material 5 and straightforward grooving work or cutting is performed at the required interval in the advancing direction of the plate-like material 5. Crushers 8, 8' are constituted of a pair of rolls having sharp angle teeth 15 along the circumferential direction. The sharp angle teeth 15 are positioned on the central extension line of the mutually recessed parts 16 and also both rolls are arranged so that the clearance between the rolls is regulated to about 1/2 of thickness of the platelike material 5. This platelike material 5 sent to the crushing rolls 8, 8' is cut by the sharp angle teeth 15 and becomes granules 9 of a cube.
