Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device that can maintain compact size and light weight of the device, and prevent the device from being damaged when pressure is applied an optical guiding element.SOLUTION: A video display device includes a display element 15, an optical guide element 14, and a connecting portion comprising a member 12a and a member 13a on the outside, and further includes a housing 11 having a space for accommodating the display element 15 therein, and a tube 16 which is fitted to the connecting portion of the housing 11 from the outside from one side while fitted to the optical guide element 14 from the outside from the other side, thereby fixing the optical guide element 14 to the housing 11. The tip of the connecting portion is opened, and a space extending from the space for accommodating the display element 15 to the tip of the connecting portion inside the housing 16 is a continuous cavity. The display element 15 is disposed in the space for accommodating the display element 15 so that light emitted from a display region of the display element 15 passes through the cavity and enters the optical guide element 14 from the tip of the connecting portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
