Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtian a graphic recognition method which allows the restoration of any error easily even when it exists in the results of recognition and has a recognition mechanism which is easily understandable by buman. CONSTITUTION:Processings are executed in a graphic candidate position detecting process to spot the position where a graphic exists, a feature value extracting process to extract a feature value from a graphic candidata detected, in a certainty calculating process to determine certainly of a graphic from the feature value and a membership function, in a comprehensive certainty calculating process which integrates a plurality of certainties obtained at each feature value to determine the certainty as graphing and a recognition results judging output process which judges and outputs recognition results from a comprehesive certainty and thus, the recognition of a graphic is accomplished.
