Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accurately recognize a segment by forecasting a connected segment by the inspection of only the vicinity of a bent point at the time of recognizing the segment, inspecting the number of black picture element about the vicinity of the forecasted segment and deciding the validity of recognition. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted of an optical drawing reader 10, an image processor 20 and a main computer 40, and a drawing is inputted by the reader 10 and the read original data are sent to an image memory 30 in the image processor 20. Namely, dotting processing is applied only to the segment in the vicinity the bent points K1-K6 to determine connection segment vectors V1-V12 and the pair candidate of connection bent points are determined based on the direction of the vectors. An area for finding out the number of black picture element between the pair candidate of connection bent points is determined and thee kind of a line is recognized based on the number of black picture element counted cut off or has a slight noise, accurate graphic recognition can be attained.
