Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a casting material for lining for a mixer car, having a lower water content an excellent casting property, satisfying both dissolved loss resistance and spalling resistance by mixing alumina and/or alumina- magnesia spinel as a main component with artificial graphite and pitch powder in a specific ratio.
SOLUTION: This material is obtained by mixing alumina and/or alumina- magnesia spinel as a main component with artificial graphite and pitch powder so as to give 5-15 wt.% content of artificial graphite having 100-1,000 μm average particle diameter, 0.5-6 wt.% of pitch powder, 35-50 wt.% of the total content of alumina and/or alumina-magnesia spinel having >1 mm and ≤10 mm particle diameter, X (wt.%) of the total content of alumina and/or alumina- magnesia spinel having >199 μm and ≤1,000 μm particle diameter in which X satisfies 15-1.5Y≤X≤30-1.5Y and 0<X (Y is the content (wt.%) of artificial graphite having 100-1,000 μm average particle diameter) and 17-35 wt.% of the total content of alumina and/or alumina-magnesia spinel having ≤100 μm particle diameter.
